Choosing the best Shopify Plan for your business in 2022-2023

Are you ready to start your online store with Shopify? Great! You are probably wondering which plan is best suited for you, right? Starting with the right plan from the beginning can save you a lot of headaches later on, and at this stage, investing your money wisely is vital.

That is why we want to give you a general idea of what’s included in each plan and what you should consider based on the stage of your business.

Shopify has 5 plans so far: Starter, Basic, Shopify, Advanced, and Plus.

Shopify's Starter Plan ($5 USD/month)

If you are just starting out, and have a presence on social networks or your own website, for example, a blog, this could be your best option.

The advantage of this plan, apart from being the cheapest, is that you can sell directly on other platforms like Wordpress, Squarespace, and Wix; social networks like Instagram or Facebook; and directly through Whatsapp and Messenger.

It’s as simple as embedding a buy button by adding a line of code. And that’s it! You’re ready to start selling. How awesome is that?

A few things you need to consider, though, are that you’ll pay 5% of each transaction, you have no “point of sale” options (POS), and you won’t have your unique online store. Other than that, this is a great place to start.

If this works for you, try a Starter Plan today by clicking here.

Shopify's Basic Plan ($29 USD/month)

If you’re still a small business owner, but you require a unique store, with all the basics (inventory tracking, POS, content marketing tools, control of SEO, etc), this is your best option.

The advantage of this plan is that you’ll have a fully functional shop with just a few configurations, and you’ll be ready to offer discounts with your newsletter subscription, provide worldwide shipping, accept payments with credit and debit cards, as well as most of the common payment gateways such as Paypal, and much more.

Did I mention that you’ll be able to use Shopify Payments with no transaction fees if your store is from the US or Canada? And even if you’re not able to access this option for your store, transaction fees are lower with this plan than with the Starter Plan. This means more profits for you!

If this works for you, try a Basic Plan today by clicking here.

Shopify's Shopify Plan ($79 USD/month)

Looking to simplify your processes, grow and expand your business? If you have experience with e-commerce and a more established business, this might be the right plan for you.

For starters, you’ll have more user accounts, meaning you’ll be able to get your team onboard! You’ll also have access to up to 5 inventory locations, track inventory, fulfill orders, and sell products across multiple locations, including retail stores, warehouses, pop-ups, and more.

Have in mind that you’ll also be able to access enhanced analytics and Shopify Flow, an incredible e-commerce automation tool that will provide sophisticated ways to automate tasks and processes with your store and across your apps.

In short, this is a great plan for power-sellers that want more detailed data on their customers and ways to automate more aspects of their ecommerce so the admin part of the business requires less time and effort.

Of course, you’ll also benefit from lower credit card and transaction fees than the ones you can access on the previous plan.

If this works for you, try a Shopify Plan today by clicking here.

Shopify's Advanced Plan ($299 USD/month)

Ready to go international? If you have reached that point in your business where you are looking to expand your horizons and sell in multiple countries, this is the plan that will allow you to do exactly that.

Of course, you’ll require a very large team to accomplish this, and that’s why you’ll have access to up to 8 inventory locations, 15 user accounts, and advanced customizable reporting tool, so you can be clear on who’s buying and how to better serve your customers.

The most important thing about this plan is that it will allow you to have much stronger and more flexible functionalities to sell internationally, such as determining individual product prices for individual countries and import duties and taxes.

Now you’ll be known everywhere, baby!

If this works for you, try an Advanced Plan today by clicking here.

Shopify's Plus Plan (starts at $2000 USD/month)

The most advanced plan for any Shopify store at the moment is the Plus Plan. This is a very robust, professional, and solid plan, perfect for big companies, corporations, and international brands. Seriously, this is heavy stuff!

You’ll get all the functionalities provided by the Advanced Plan, but you’ll also get extra features designed for larger e-commerce businesses. These include:

  • A dedicated account manager
  • Full control over the checkout
  • Automatic currency conversion based on IP address
  • Better access to Shopify’s API
  • Unlimited user accounts
  • Enhanced security features
  • The opportunity to create and manage up to 10 stores at once
  • And more

So, if you’re ready to create a multi-million dollar business, this is, no doubt, the Shopify plan you’re looking for.

Don’t you love discounts?

Let’s be honest. No matter how big or small your business is, one of the best ways to enhance your profits, is to be very smart with your money. Investing it wisely could help you grow quicker and faster. That’s why, if you can access a discount here and there, you can either buy some piña coladas on a beach (there’s nothing wrong with that, by the way) or you can reinvest that money in your business.

That’s why you’ll find some cool discounts if you decide to pay yearly, upfront:

  • Is this your first year on Shopify? Get up to 50%! This is exclusively for new stores in the U.S. and Canada only.
  • 20% discount on two-year plans, and a
  • 25% discount on three-year plans

Please have in mind that these promotions might change, they can come and go throughout the year and also depend on location. Be sure to read carefully before clicking that purchase button.

An online store is a great investment nowadays, no questions. And if you’re smart about how and when to invest, this could be the best opportunity for you. Ready to start? Remember you can access a 14-days free trial any time by clicking here.
